In 2020, we eliminated 350,000lbs of Styrofoam from our packaging assemblies, a material that is not easily recycled by customers, through efforts like updating our worksurface packaging assembly.
Our goal is to move to 100% recyclable packaging by 2025, which will positively impact our customers’ zero waste to landfill goals.

HNI products help customers pursue LEED® green building rating system and WELL Building Standard™ certifications in several important areas.
We are in the process of enhancing our supplier code of conduct to increase our expectations and requirements for suppliers in the areas of legal compliance, business integrity, and social and sustainability leadership. Annual certifications will be solicited from suppliers to ensure continued compliance, and we have set a goal to achieve 100% annual compliance by 2022.
